Al Bashir Preparation for Accreditation Activity

(Jan 2019 - Now)

The “Al Bashir Hospitals Preparation for Accreditation Activity” is a five-and-a half-year project funded by the United States Agency for International Development/Jordan (USAID/Jordan) under Fixed Amount Award No. 72027818FA00001 and is implemented by the Health Care Accreditation Council (HCAC), in close collaboration with the Ministry of Health (MOH) and the hospitals’ leadership and staff. The Activity commenced on 17 September 2018 and is expected to span over a period of Fifty-Four (66) months; thus, ending on 16 March 2024, contingent upon stakeholder responsiveness and not factoring in any external challenges beyond the scope and control of HCAC. The Activity is designed exclusively to drive enhancements in the quality of services and patient safety at Al Bashir Hospitals, with the goal of improving the health status in Jordan, through the preparation of the hospitals for accreditation.
